The Mystic Krewe of Apollo de Lafayette
was founded in 1976. The purpose of The Mystic Krewe of Apollo
de Lafayette is to foster brotherhood, unity and equality within
our community. The organization presents an Annual Bal Masque
and related festivities in celebration of Mardi Gras. An
additional purpose is to support, encourage and improve the gay
community.

interests of our organization and our members to the community.
We strive to make a difference by educating the public and
expanding our reach.
Current membership is seventy nine
men. Our organization participates and/or makes donations to
several community charities such as, The Best Dressed Ball, Red
Ribbon Ball, Friends United, Acadiana CARES, etc. Apollo's
history has established its reputation of splendor, creativeness
and gaiety in Lafayette.
