Krewe of Augustus

Krewe of Augustus is a children's krewe that accepts children age 2-18. In addition to Mardi Gras festivities, we hold socials throughout the year such as Easter Egg hunts and swimming parties. Each year the king and queen are appointed to their position by seniority. When the children turn 10 years of age they are added to the Honor Court with special perks such as riding in a car in the parade.

After serving on the Honor Court for two years they are eligible to become king or queen, depending on age and number of years of service. Each year the king and queen chose a charity and the krewe participates in fundraisers to help these charities. The king and queen have fun choosing the activities and socials that will be held in their honor.
